To date "The Likeness" have appeared on TV no less than 4 times !!!,
Here are details of where, when and what went on...

Thursday 2nd June 2005
"The Likeness" appeared on a show called "Backstage Daily". Mixing intereviews with the band in their 'Natural state' and paying LIVE tribute to "The Darkness" at a recent show recorded at the infamous "Limelight Club".
MTV did a great job in bringing out the essence of "The Likeness" ie a high energy, high fun and loyal tribute to the force they call "The Darkness"
We plan to include vid snippets here when we have worked the digital magic to do so.
Check back here soon or better still join the eMailing list to get the news first hand.
Meanwhile here's a few snaps from behing the scenes...

Amongst 10 other hopefuls, Psy as part of "The Likeness" appeared on the Grand Live final of the 2005 series of "Stars in Their Eyes" and won a massive 15,232 votes. Unfortunately this was not enough to depose "The King" ELVIS from his thone in the hearts of the British public.
Win or loose, it was a fantastic experience!
Here are a few pictures from the event
HEAT WINNERS - Saturday 22nd January 2005
Psy, backed by "The Likeness", appeared as Justin Hawkins of "The Darkness" and sang the now classic rock tune "I Believe in a thing Called Love".
Psy and the band won their way through a massive 40,000 hopefuls to gain a place on, the National TV treasure of a programme, ITV's Stars in Their Eyes.

Apologies to Dial-up Connection users. The files are a bit big and will take forever to download. In an attempt to keep the vid files to a reasonable size, the vid and sound quality have been severely reduced. If you want to see it in full glorious technicolour and 5:1 surround dound you'll have to buy the DVD from Granada !! (if they do one).
If you cannot see these snippets, so not despair, try these earlier vid snippets from our FIRST EVER gig as The Likeness. Things have got better and better since.
For those with Dial up connections.... here are some "phone bill friendly" photos from the day |

On 20th March 2004 two members of "The Likeness" (Psy and Bryn) were invited by the chart show CD:UK to meet "The Darkness", and to ask them a question about their thoughts on Tribute Bands live on national TV!
We thought about it for about a nanosecond and said "HELL YES" We trooped off to London, questions in mind and here's how it went...

Tribute Bands question on CD:TV |
Show me (264 kb) | Show me (1.6 Mb) |
Here's what was said...
| Cat Deeley |
Simon Hall, you have a question for us this morning
| Psy |
What do you think about Tribute bands ? Are they a shameless cynical exercise on cashing in on your success or are they fun and great publicity for you ?
| Ed Graham |
We’ve heard that your one (The Likeness) is the best !
| Psy |
That’s right ! | |
| Frankie Poullain |
As Oscar Wilde said - Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, so thank you very much!! (Big cheer)
| Cat Deeley |
Do you like those kind of Bands though?
| Justin Hawkins |
I have never seen one before actually
| Cat Deeley |
Have you not ? Wouldn’t it be kind of spooky to go to a gig and see someone performing your stuff
| Dan Hawkins |
It would be a lot of fun – I’d love to see a tribute band (looking at Psy and Bryn)
| Cat Deeley |
Did you imitate anyone in the early days?
|
Justin Hawkins |
Errrr… no (laughter) ....
|
Cat Deeley |
You've just been you | |
|
Justin Hawkins |
We did do a Jim Diamond cover in the olden days and we covered Radiohead as well but we never went the whole hog and pretended to be them
|
Cat Deeley |
OK... next question from... |
Then someone asked something about unblocking celebrity toilets !!! Sheesh !!
The Gentlemen who are "The Darkness" - We appreciate
your support and encouragement very much. It was a top notch pleasure to meet
you all.
Simone from CD:UK - Thanks you
VERY VERY much for giving us the opportunity to meet with the men what do

You heard them,
The Likeness are the BEST! So do as Dan would

drummer!
Justin signing Bryn's Gibson Thunderbird - the sig reads "The
Likeness Rocks ! - Justin x"
